Las Vegas, NV, March 1, 2011
Hard Rock Casino Punta Cana Launches with KCMS from Konami Gaming, Inc. Largest Casino in Dominican Republic Opens with the Konami Casino Management System (KCMS).
Konami Gaming, Inc. announced today that its Konami Casino Management System (KCMS) has been installed at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, which celebrated its grand opening this past January. KCMS will manage the Hard Rock Casino’s slot and table game reporting and in-house players’ club data base.
"This first Hard Rock all-inclusive Caribbean Hotel & Casino property marks a major milestone for our brand that started with just a single cafe opening in 1971," said Michael Shindler, Executive Vice President, Hotels & Casinos for Hard Rock International. "We want to ensure that the guest experience throughout the resort, including our 48,000-square foot Vegas-inspired casino, is of the highest standard.”
Palace Resorts President and Owner Roberto Chapur, added: “After a considerable selection process, we decided upon KONAMI’s KCMS for its highly sophisticated marketing capabilities and unique ability to capture granular information at both the slot machine and patron level. With over 450 slot machines and 40 table games, the Hard Rock Casino Punta Cana is the largest in the Dominican Republic; therefore it’s essential to have a robust, technically superior management system like this in place.”
KCMS is an industry-leading casino management system with an increasing number of installations spanning America, Canada, Australia as well as other international regions. KCMS is best known for its advanced capabilities, such as its event-driven Ethernet-based technology, multi-channel in-machine streaming video, customizable rules-based Bonusing, true multigame, multi-denomination analytics and documented high availability.
Phil O’Toole, Konami Gaming, Inc.’s Systems Product Manager concluded: “The new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is a remarkable resort property and Konami is pleased to be its casino management systems partner. We are confident that the proven functionality of KCMS will assist the casino’s daily reporting and marketing efforts.”
