Las Vegas, NV, August 18, 2009
Rivers Casino opened on August 9, 2009 with KCMS installed in all of its 3,000 slot machines. Rivers Casino is located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh and is the first casino to open in the area. In addition to its state-of-the-art casino floor, Rivers also operates four dinning outlets, four bars and a 1,000 seat amphitheater that will showcase a variety of entertainment offerings.
Says Ed Fasulo, President and COO of Rivers Casino, “I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about partnering with a relatively new casino management system, especially for a project the size of Rivers Casino with our 3,000 slots. As we explored and assessed the major systems available, it became increasing apparent that KCMS not only had a superior and stable backbone system, but also had the sophistication necessary in today's highly competitive gaming industry. The seemingly endless accessibility of reports available in KCMS for effective data base analysis, casino accounting and daily operating statistics is very impressive. Perhaps most important has been Konami's commitment to continually customize the system and work side-by-side with us to meet our needs and to gain a competitive edge in our market. In my 30+ years in the casino industry, I have worked with every major casino management system, and KCMS has far exceeded my expectations.”
Says Jay Bertsch, System Sales Director for Konami Gaming, Inc, “We are extremely proud to be part of the opening of a world class property such as the Rivers Casino. Rivers will be utilizing the full suite of products which KCMS has to offer, including Patron 360 Database Segmentation, Patron Worth and Campaign Management modules. In the next few months, Rivers is planning to implement Lot-A-Bucks, our casino-wide promotional progressive, which will bring even more excitement to the casino floor.”
Along with KCMS, Rivers Casino purchased a variety of Konami's slot machines, including the very successful Advantage 5 TM stepper product and the latest K2V TM video titles. In addition, Rivers installed Pirate's Loot TM and Mystical Temple TM, Konami's four-level progressive products, as well as Quick Strike TM, a standalone progressive product.
